Preserving Kingston's Character, Planning for Tomorrow
The Town of Kingston is updating its Master Plan — a long-range planning document that helps guide future decisions about land use, housing, transportation, natural resources, community facilities, economic development, and overall quality of life. The Master Plan serves as a roadmap for how Kingston can guide change, invest in itself, and make important land use related decisions over the next 10 to 15 years.
This update will help the Town better understand current conditions, identify community priorities, and establish a shared vision for Kingston’s future. The process will focus on protecting the qualities that make Kingston special — including its small-town character, neighborhoods, lakes, historic areas, and community spaces — while also planning for future needs related to housing, infrastructure, recreation, public services, and economic vitality.
Resilience Planning & Design is partnering with the Town of Kingston and the Planning Board to support this effort.
Your voice is essential. Kingston’s Master Plan will be shaped by community input, and we want to hear your ideas, concerns, and hopes for the town’s future! Opportunities for public participation will be offered throughout the planning process, and we encourage residents, business owners, property owners, volunteers, and other community members to share their feedback along the way.
Have a comment, question, or local insight that should help inform Kingston’s Master Plan?
